Coaching Severn Fitness offer a completely personalised online coaching service to athletes of any standard who wish to improve their performance. The two coaches Andy Sexton and Rob Birchall have a wealth of triathlon experience and hold British Triathlon coaching qualifications. On signing up to a coaching programme you will be asked to fill in a confidential questionnaire. This, along with an initial phone call assessment allows us to get a clear picture of the your current level of fitness, experience and ability in each sport along with your strengths, weaknesses and sporting aspirations for the upcoming year. The initial assessment also includes a section which details your training availability, and lifestyle. All this information helps your coach design a program which fits in with the your weekly routine as conveniently as possible. By setting a training program which best suits your needs after taking into account your strengths, weaknesses and target events you will gain maximum benefit from your training. At the start of each week you will receive your training schedule via email for the following seven days. This schedule includes details of each session, times distances and intensities along with key focus points and objectives for the session. Where relevant, heart rate targets are used to set training intensity for each run and bike session. Setting the training on a weekly basis allows us to be extremely flexible and respond to your feedback resulting in maximum performance benefit given your lifestyle.
